Managing Change/Managing Self

Organisations are changing at a rapid pace. The reasons for change include globalisation, new markets and technological advances. Leaders need be savvy when it comes to what changes they select and how they manage changes that are thrust upon them by external factors. Lots of energy is spent in decision making exercises to ensure that the "right", "logical" decisions are made. But sometimes other questions are excluded. Leaders and staff need to ask: "how am I managing myself during this change?"

With its focus on the Enneagram model of personality, this module challenges participants to identify their strengths and blind spots, and how these may hinder their ability to change. Participants will identify the strengths and vulnerabilities that their own Enneagram personality brings to organisational change. An action plan for drawing on the strengths and overcoming the challenges will be developed for participants to take back to their teams.

Reducing Stress for High Performance

In this day and age there are huge expectations for people working in organisations to balance multiple tasks. Some are literally expected to "leap tall buildings in a single bound!" Emotions run high as people are expected to complete every task in a timely manner and ensure that high quality is maintained at every step. However, this is not always achieved and, even when high performance is achieved, the cost can be employee burnout.

This workshop presents tools and techniques for people which can significantly reduce the likelihood of burnout. Chris encourages the group to understand their emotional reactions as being a reflection of their "false self". Once this platform has been identified workshop participants are taught how to observe their emotional reactions from the point of view of the "inner observer". This results in people being able to see organisational life in a more objective manner rather than through the lens of "the false self". Participants will practice new skills to use in stressful situations.

Head, Heart and Body…..Three Centers of Leadership

Intelligence in western society is usually related to how logical or rational one is. While this form of intelligence (Head centered intelligence) is important, there are two other centres of intelligence (Heart and Body Intelligence) that, when harnessed, can add greatly to creativity, problem solving, and organisational effectiveness. Leaders are now realising that diverse forms of intelligence can translate into more innovative work practices and added competitive advantage.

This workshop introduces the three centers of intelligence. Participants will explore all three types of intelligence, and examine how using all three can add value to their work team's outcomes.

So You're Not My Type… Are You My Sub-Type?

There is more to the Enneagram than 9 personality types! Each type has 3 sub-types that explain how we operate in the world, with a preference for either 1-to-1 interaction, social interaction, or self-preservation. It has been said that people with the same sub-type have more in common than people of the same Enneagram type. In this advanced Enneagram workshop we look at how the Enneagram sub-types influence our interpersonal, team and organisational experiences.
